The new Festival Hall in Erl , Austria 2012

The Tiroler Festspiele Erl’s new Festival Hall was designed by Austrian architectural practice Delugan Meissl Associates. Sited against a background of rock formations, the facade of the Festival Hall mimics the surrounding topography. Completed in August 2012 the interior equally borrows from the context with a plane of angular acoustic baffles, finished in rich laminates of timber that gives coherence to the architectural layout.
